Why Coworking Will Benefit Your Business

Coworking breaks the stigma that it’s important to surround yourself with people working on similar projects. Instead, Coworking promotes working in a shared office space with plenty of different businesses, working on entirely different things.

Coworking spaces find themselves being productive, creative and collaborative, and The Generator is no different. But if you’re either a newly created or older business looking for change, allow us to explain why Coworking will benefit your business.

First things first, taking a seat at a coworking space and not a typical office will raise creativity levels. Various surveys note that up to 70% of coworkers see a boost in productivity, and that seems to be down to the energy that coworking spaces has on those working there. But why is it so much more productive?

One reason could be that there’s less unhealthy competition in a coworking space. Yes, you’ll be in a better position to ask for help in a regular office, but you’ll also be in a position that can get hostile quickly with internal office politics and the desire to be better than colleagues.

Why else might a coworking space enhance productivity? Perhaps because, for those usually at home, it’s just nice to be in that environment. And by that environment, we mean a productive vibe. It’s much easier to crack down with some work when everyone around you are doing the same thing.

The possibility to collaborate with other workers inside the space will also be a benefit to your business. Connections are important, regardless of whether they’re in your field or not. Interacting with other companies daily will allow you to get a feel for what they do, or even get inspiration for your own work.

It’s easy to underestimate the power of having fresh and alternative minds around you whilst you work. Asking for an opinion may get you a more realistic outlook and be something that you’re not used to when working in an office or on your own.

Having that community feel inside of a coworking space will mean that more and more people will recognise the value you bring and you may end up getting more work that way. Coworking seems a logical alternative to locking yourself away in an office, encouraging more collaboration and community.

The prospect of working remotely is a further reason why many believe that coworking is a benefit to any business. Instead of being tied down to a rigid schedule in a typical office setting, it’s possible to drop into a coworking space whenever you like to knuckle down with some work. And on the days you don’t want to work? Well, don’t. It’s that simple.

If you like the sound of coworking and you’d like to find out more, feel free to flick through our website and visit us at The Generator. We’re an affordable and innovative coworking space made for businesses like yours.
