Loi Luu, CEO & Co-Founder of the Kyber Network, Speaks About Decentralized Liquidity at Genesis DevCon
Loi Luu, CEO and Co-Founder of Kyber Network, is one among our esteemed panel of speakers at Genesis DevCon. He developed an interest for blockchain and cryptocurrencies while completing his PhD in Computer Science at the National University of Singapore and wrote a thesis on Secure Public Blockchain Protocols at Scale. Loi Luu, along with his early academic collaborators, ultimately founded the Kyber Network — an on-chain liquidity protocol that aggregates liquidity from a range of reserves in order to facilitate instant and secure token exchange in any decentralised application.
Dr Luu has also developed frameworks and tools like Oyente — the first open source smart contract tool and Elastico — a sharding protocol for public blockchains etc. He has been widely appreciated for his work and has received reputed commendations like the MIT Innovators Below 35 award and was featured in Forbes Asia’s 30 under 30 List in 2018.
Dr Luu’s talk at Genesis DevCon in November 2019 will focus on “Decentralised Liquidity as a building block for a better financial systems”. The talk will explore the role of decentralised liquidity in the financial ecosystem and the different ways in which finance projects are utilising it. Dr Luu will also touch base on what Kyber does to make decentralised liquidity available for the DeFi market by making the financial system more connected and transparent.

Consequently, this will pave the way to an ideal, decentralised and democratic system.
