Genesis is excited to announce our Virtual Women’s Mentorship Program. As our community adjusts to the new digital workplace, we are creating distributed leadership and learning opportunities for aspiring female entrepreneurs at UT Austin.

As less than 2.2% of VC funding goes to women, this initiative aims to open doors and unlock potential like never before. According to the Boston Consulting Group, women grow faster and produce twice as much when they receive the empowering resources and mentorship they need. The impact women-led ventures will have on our world is incredible. Genesis’ Leadership Team intends for this collaboration between women in the industry and women leaders on-campus will only accelerate that impact.

Through this program, we will build confidence, strengthen connections, and increase opportunity access for women across campus. Students will be thoughtfully matched to mentors who have experiences relevant to their personal goals. Mentors and students will then have at least two conversations per month in which they can explore questions about entrepreneurship, problems in a certain field, and career development. This will be a four-week program, with weekly calls among the pairing.
