Introducing Genesis Ecosystem Shards
Early-stage support to the most promising DeFi startups
Genesis Partners — helping build the ecosystem
In our previous blog post (linked here) we had discussed how Genesis Shards aims to provide promising DeFi startups with the best possible support early on in their journey. In order to help us achieve this at scale, there will be a set of strategic partners helping us in one of the 3 segments:
- Genesis Access
- Genesis Ecosystem network and
- Genesis Mentorship
The role of the Access shard partners was discussed in the previous post. This post will lay out the role of the Genesis Ecosystem Shards.
Who is a Genesis Ecosystem Shard?
Once a project is part of the Genesis Ecosystem, it would get access to the best possible support in a multitude of areas, including community growth and engagement, tech R&D, social media reach out, etc.
Ecosystem shards (partners) are entities that will play a key role in one/more of these areas to help projects get up to speed in the least amount of time possible.
These partners would include,
- Communities in the DeFi space
- Deal researchers and analysts
- Tech providers
- Product experts
- Content partners
- Social media outreach specialists, among others
What is the value for various stakeholders?
For the DeFi projects
The DeFi space is moving at a breakneck pace, both in terms of technical innovation and the pace of the market itself. For new projects to succeed — they need to put into place aspects related to exposure, liquidity, community participation, growth, etc. quickly and effectively. This can and does often get overwhelming in this ever-shifting DeFi landscape that is growing at an exponential rate.
Once a project is part of the Genesis ecosystem — it would gain access to the Ecosystem Partners whose purpose would be to help them in all of the above aspects.
For the Ecosystem Shard partners
The Ecosystem Shard partners will gain access to a stream of vetted projects with immense potential. Working with these projects would enable them to remain at the forefront of the DeFi space, and be part of a network that will hold an immense value that would only grow over time.
For the Genesis community members
Ecosystem partners would provide critical support to the early-stage projects which would increase the odds of them succeeding. Genesis community members including token holders and Access Cardholders would be able to get early access to such projects.
