Alpha Release Report
Alpha report.
Once the product is released, we wanted to make sure, that the trading and investment experience is nothing short of stellar. Genesis Vision greatly cares about one thing — delivering the best version of the product imaginable. Thus, we came to the decision to start out with the platform in a demo state.
During this period we’ll be running global, full-scale tests. And when we say “global”, we mean global.
Anyone can join the Alpha without any financial repercussions since all of the funds will be of virtual value. We really wanted anyone, who was interested in the product, to get a feel of it, to try it, to live it. Consider this a test-drive.
The last thing we want as a team would be to expose our investors to any risk. Hence the demo state will enable us to carry out all of our imagined testing metrics.
Another advantage of delivering an open Alpha on time is that much more people will try it which lets us test the system during periods of overload.
This is a true definition of a win-win situation: you get to test our product, we get to hone it.
We run the Alpha Version without real GVT in hope that investors could familiarise themselves with the actual platform first since GV is so vast in its infrastructure.
Despite the fact, that the manager’s trading history won’t transcend to the real mode, the formation of a global pool of GV managers will happen during the demo stage of the Alpha because we will be observing the performance and from this, we can ultimately determine the best managers and reward them accordingly.
You too can be a part of the testing process, please don’t hesitate to contact support@genesis.vision if you happen to notice any issues or if any additional questions regarding the workings of the platform arise.
Let’s dive in what had to be made to deliver the Alpha version on 1st of April.
We are happy to inform you that we have successfully completed multiple tests, which were necessary to integrate different parts into the Genesis Vision system.
- We examined the integration with MetaTrader 4 and Metatrader 5;
2. We have designed, created and tested the module that records the trading history and uploads it into the file depositary for IPFS;
3. We’ve made strategic cooperations with great partners: Just2Trade and Larson and Holz brokerages;
4. A calculation of statistical data was set up;
5. We designed and developed the trader Rating and Investor program creation pages.
6. Beta versions of both iOS and Android applications were developed ahead of the roadmap;
7. Despite the fact, that it won’t be necessary during the demo state of the Alpha, a GVT wallet was created.
8. We have recently announced Genesis Markets broker, that is aimed at solving multiple infrastructural issues, aggregation of liquidity and trading tools. You can read more about the project here.
All of these vital steps were necessary for bringing the Alpha version of the platform to life, but we haven’t disregarded the small steps either, whether it be listing on exchanges, team building, creating the development strategy or just generally expanding the business.
Genesis Vision does not have a large team, but regardless, a lot of work has been done, and more importantly was done on time, which is almost a precedent in the crypto community. We can now finally say that our hard efforts are showing the viable results and the Alpha version of Genesis Vision platform is just the first part.
What does Genesis Vision Alpha bring to the table?
Within GV Alpha platform you will be able to operate the following trading instruments:
1. Forex;
2. Metals;
3. CFDs on energy sources;
4. CFDs on indices;
5. Crypto;
6. Crypto CFD;
7. Indexes;
This is quite an extensive list for an Alpha; we’re sure you’ll agree. There are so many trading opportunities in this list for our managers to dive into, this should look like a toolbox to an experienced trader.
Since all of the GV projects are community driven, we remember what trading instruments you would like to see in the future. We are currently working and seeking partnerships with appropriate brokerages, that would be able to provide the instruments our community is looking forward to.
The trading instruments available at the launch of the Alpha version were provided by Just2Trade and Larson and Holz brokers, that we were glad to announce before. As the time goes on and more exchanges and brokers join our ecosystem, more and more trading instruments and derivatives will become available, making the whole ecosystem much more diverse.
The issue with aggregation of crypto-trading tools will be solved with the help of Genesis Markets broker. We expect no shortages in available crypto trading instruments, as more and more crypto exchanges will join the platform.
The trading process will happen on the MetaTrader 4/5 trading servers on all available platforms.
The capabilities of Alpha.
As it has been previously mentioned, the GV platform will exist in a demo state for some time during the Alpha stage of the platform.
We know that the first thing you’re wondering is how long will the demo state actually take. So without further ado, let us address that first.
The demo state will go on for as long as it is necessary to carry out all the testing and honing. Alpha won’t be only demo for the whole time.
As it was previously mentioned, delivering the best version of the platform is our absolute top priority. That’s why the exact date of the demo state completion will be determined during the process, once we’ve completed all the necessary testing.
Both managers and investors will be able to register and trade completely free of charge, with absolutely no risk at all.
During the demo stage, every manager will start out with 1000 virtual GVT; every investor will start out with 100 virtual GVT. Go on a search for the best managers and have a play with your virtual GVT.
Investor section
Let’s start out by diving into the Investor part of the system, and go from section to section one by one.
Investors Programs page will include information about the manager’s tiered levels, earned profit and other important data this is one of the most crucial parts of the Alpha version of Genesis Vision platform.
This page is basically a list of investment programs, created by fund managers (each manager can have one or more).
It is worthwhile to immediately define the terminology we’ve used here, so that there will be no confusion. The level is a characteristic of the investment program, not a specific manager. Investors invest in the program and not in the manager. A manager can create multiple investment programs.
Investment program levelling system and the trading history should help investors make an informed decision about investing in a particular program.
Let’s take a moment to talk about the level system. We will now share the parameters of the system, but please keep in mind, that these parameters are subject to change and are relevant only for the time of the Alpha version.
Since the Alpha demo state shouldn’t take that much time, the time periods for the current level system were shortened.
There are three parameters responsible for the individual levels:
- RequiredAge stands for the lifetime of a manager account. During the Alpha it will be counted as days, so you will need to have your investment program running for at least two days to have a third level.
2. RequiredProfitAvg means an average profit that is made daily. So if you want to reach the second level, you would need to achieve at least 0.5% of an average daily gain.
3. RequiredProfitTotal is calculated in USD. It shows how much USD you would need to make per day on an average basis.
A manager would need to achieve all three parameters to receive the next level of his investment program. You can also skip levels if you outperform them.
Dashboard is a page that shows the allocation of all manager’s tokens you’ve bought and also the statistics of the managers you’ve chosen to invest in.
It is a go-to page to see how well you are performing, investor-wise. During the Alpha stage you will be able to:
- Invest GVT in the selected manager (and receive his manager tokens);
- Receive your profits from the manager in the form of GVT at the end of the reporting period;
- If for some reason you are unhappy with the performance of your manager, you can leave an application for withdrawal. It will return the managerial tokens back to the manager and you get back the invested GVT at the end of the reporting period;
Last, but not least, you have a wallet section, where you can track all of your profits and investments, see the history and delve into your profit chart. Since the first stage of the Alpha is a demo, you won’t be able to withdraw your GVT for obvious reasons.
Manager section.
If you want to participate in the GV platform as a manager, you will need to create a separate account. If you want to register both investor and manager accounts, you will have to use two separate email addresses.
Let’s cover the manager app sections one by one in a similar fashion.
In your profile, you will be able to edit, set up and see the general information about your manager profile.
Manager app also lets you create your own investment program. You will need to set up a number of various parameters, starting from the name of the program and the reporting period length, ending with your token name and symbol.
Let’s sort out the terminology.
It is actually very straightforward. The manager manages the fund, but he wants to receive money for his work. There are two ways to do that:
1. Success fee. This is a payment for successful trading, set as a percentage.
Here is an example: you invested 1000 dollars in a manager with a 2 % success fee. The manager made $100 in profit, but you will get only $98 since 2% is claimed by the manager for his “success fee”.
2. Management fee. This amounts very similarly to the success fee, but is withdrawn in any case, regardless of the outcome (profit or loss) and it is an annual fee.
Another example! You invested 1000 dollars with a 8% management fee for a 3-month long investment program. The trader made a loss of $ 100, but you received only 882 USD, and not 900 because he still managed your funds.
Don’t forget to add a creative or professional profile description; it is an open marketplace of traders now!
Also, traders can operate with multi-accounts (e.g. forex, crypto and so on) and watch other traders with the help of real-time statistic data. To create an account, you should use the guide provided.
As it was claimed in the whitepaper, the trading process from the manager standpoint does not change. A manager will trade using the familiar MT4 and MT5 services. Trading robot enthusiasts can be happy — you will be able to connect trading robots to your MT software.
As a manager, your trading history will be recorded real-time in the IPFS file depositary.
Investments Programs section shows your competition — a ledger of all managers’ investment programs and their performance, presented in the form of a chart, as well as some other important information. You can also hover your cursor over the chart to see any additional information regarding the profit made at a certain period. Pretty self-explanatory to be fair on this part.
You will be able to track down all the profit distribution and transaction history, deposit and withdraw Genesis Vision tokens, with the help of a GVT wallet. However this will not be available in the demo state; but still awesome stuff.
Mobile applications.
Genesis Vision will successfully deliver an Alpha version of the platform right on time, but when it came to mobile applications, the team went six months ahead of the roadmap!
Current mobile versions will contain only the investor section of the platform. Managers simply don’t need a special application for the moment — they can create an investment program, using the web-version of the platform, and then carry on to trade using their iOS or Android version of MetaTrader.
Test the Alpha and invest in managers on the go, starting April 1st.
So what’s next?
Genesis Vision team understood one crucial thing during the development of the product. We understood that the product we are creating works. It is a somewhat simple idea, which solves a plethora of infrastructural issues and seems to just work.
Of course, we can’t say that for sure at the moment. The adoption process will be long and rocky. But the process of bringing an idea to feasibility really made us believe in the idea of such an open market even more. We will not be stopping until we see our creation truly brought to life.
First of all, we are planning to introduce our internal exchange.
The internal exchange of the Genesis Vision platform is the place where investors can purchase and sell manager’s coins. Initially, these coins can only be purchased directly from the manager for a fixed price. Afterwards, they can be freely traded among investors on the internal exchange.
This will add gamification to the investment process, without it being a burden or necessity, but what’s more important — it will provide additional risk leverages for the investor.
Genesis Markets is the other important cornerstone of our ecosystem. We don’t have any firm dates of when the project will be launched, just because there are always some pitfalls and potholes during the development timeframe. Not meeting a deadline can be really harmful to a young project, and we are well aware of that. But rest assured, that progress is being made, and we will share all the news concerning the development cycle. We are hoping to deliver Genesis Markets in April/May time.
All respect goes to the development team, but the marketing department is also working tirelessly to sign agreements with new partners, brokerages and crypto exchanges for our clients to have a wide range of options to suit all the different trading preferences. We plan to integrate more crypto exchanges, stock exchanges and even banks when we inevitably take off.
The road we’ve taken is far from simple, but the feedback, insight and support from our community keep us on track. You are truly amazing. Stay tuned for the updates, this is just the beginning!
