Genesis Markets Update
Hello Visioners!
We will be updating our Binance symbols format on Genesis Markets to better reflect where the trades are being executed and wanted to give you a heads up in order to avoid any confusion.
As it currently stands, our symbols format is as follows for trades taking place on Binance: XXXYYY (GVTBTC, BTCUSDT, GVTETH, etc.).
Starting on the 25th of September, these symbols will be placed in Close Only mode. All Binance assets will be available under the following format: XXXYYY.binance (GVTBTC.binance, BTCUSDT.binance, GVTETH.binance, etc.).
As a result, all assets will be labeled with a postfix identifying the name of the exchange where the trades occur:
XXXYYY.binance — Binance Exchange
XXXYYY.hbg — Huobi Global
XXXYYY.lmax — LMAX digital
XXXYYY.b2b — B2Broker
These changes, while seemingly innocuous, are a necessary step to differentiate single format trades before we start implementing aggregated liquidity which will require symbols without any postfix (XXXYYY).
Additionally, all assets with the new symbols format (XXXYYY.binance) will be traded 1:1 where 1 lot in MT5 equals 1 token/coin (the current format includes a multiplier where 1 lot in MT5 equals 0.0001 BTC).
As always, we have more in store for you and are in the midst of preparing a big update to Genesis Markets in the near future… Stay tuned Visioners!
