Programs are similar to PAMM accounts. A trader has the opportunity to create an investment Program, where he sets the fees and the duration of the reporting period (up to a maximum of 90 days) along with other parameters. They have the option to trade crypto currency or forex markets with a view to earn profits for themselves and investors that may want to join them on their trading journey.

Programs are publicly available for investors to join. Each request will be processed at the beginning of each period. The manager trades with their own capital and investors’ as a cumulative balance. Any profits or losses that occur are equally distributed among the investors based on their share of the program.

How do I create a Program?

You will first need to create a private trading account. You can do this under the ‘Trade’ tab on the platform.

Once this is created, you can upgrade your private trading account to either: Program or Signal account (Follow).

Once your trading account is public and you can attract investments or followers.

Or you can click “Create Program” and immediately create a Program without first creating a trading account.

When creating a Program, the trader sets the following parameters used to process the results of their period:

  • Choosing the Broker. (Current brokers Genesis Markets, Roboforex, Exante, Huobi)
  • Base currency for their trading account
  • Name, Description and Avatar for this Program.
  • Period: Reporting periods can be set from 1–90 days
  • Stop out level: This can be set from 10–100% and is the maximum drawdown level for the reporting period. This is set to protect investors- in the event of it being triggered the Program is stopped, and all investments are return to investors.
  • Trades delay: Managers have the ability to delay their public display of their trades (5-30 minutes or 6 hours) of their open positions to protect their strategy.
  • Management fees: The manager can set his own fee from 0–20%, which is charged for the actual asset management period. Management fee is defined in annual percentage and is charged at the end of each reporting period.
  • Success fee: A fee charged (0–50%) upon the total profit made within the reporting period.
  • Investment Limit: At any time, a Manager can enter or cancel certain limitations on how much capital he wants to attract. If the Investment limit is 0 — the investment capacity for the Program has been reached. This is shown as av. to invest in the platform.

These parameters can be changed if required, apart from the period duration. Investors then make an investment request which will be processed at the beginning of each period (note that traders can manually close a period at any time).

Understanding reporting periods and investing

A reporting period is a duration that the manager sets, to conduct trading operations of their Program and report the resulting profit or loss.

Investment requests in Programs are automatically processed at the beginning of each reporting period. Simply click the “Invest” button on the page of the desired investment Program that you want to use. A trader may opt to end their reporting period manually for many reasons. This is at the complete discretion of the trader.

You can cancel your investment request unless it’s already processed. This can be done from the dashboard section, or directly on the Programs page.

If you are not happy with your current investment, you can always request a withdrawal from the Program. You can withdraw a certain amount or choose the “Withdraw all” option if you want to withdraw all your funds. Processing of your request will occur at the end of the Program’s reporting period.

How much capital can managers attract?

If the manager trades without KYC the limit is 1000 USD (translated into account currency). Otherwise the available limit is set in the range from 5000 USD to 300 000 USD.

The amount of funds available for investment in each particular Program depends on several factors:

  • The age of the Program
  • The manager’s balance
  • Trading volume and success of the trading manager
  • You can get the exact number by using the calculator available on the Program’s Settings page.

More information can be found in this article.

What happens at the end of a reporting period?

At the end of each reporting period (either after the set interval or forced by the manager) the following operations are performed:

  1. All the manager’s open positions are closed
  2. Profit/Losses are calculated and distributed
  3. Manager and platform success fees are charged
  4. Investment and Withdrawal requests are processed

All the open trades are automatically closed at the end of the period. If it is a Forex Program and the reporting period ends during the weekend, the period will be closed on the following Monday — as soon as the Forex market opens.

What happens to my investment when a reporting period ends?

Well this depends on whether you have the Reinvestment trigger (Reinvest profit) switched to “ON” or “OFF.”

You can enable or disable reinvestment on the page of each Program. If you have, Reinvesting turned “ON”, then all the profits at the end of the reporting period will be reinvested into the same Program. If you have, reinvesting turned “OFF”, all profits are paid in GVT at the end of the reporting period and transferred to your wallet. The initial investment stays in the Program in both cases until you withdraw your investment from the Program.

There is currently no option for the manager and all funds to remain in the Program. To withdraw funds, you need to process a request which will be processed in the next period.

Please note that the manager must always have a minimum deposit to create the Program.

Stop out level explained

The manager sets a Stop out level when creating a Program. It can be from 10–100% and can only be changed downward. A Stop out is a compulsory closing of positions at current market prices when a loss reaches the stop out level to protect investors.

(Example: A managers opens a Program and sets his stop out level to 20%. In the event of loosing 20% capital — the Program will close automatically)

Investors have the option to have the Stop-Out limit applied to their investment.

In the event a Program hitting its Stop-Out limit here is what happens in each scenario:

  • If “Ignore SO” is turned ON — Your investment (minus losses) is reinvested in the Program again, keeping all configured conditions.
  • If “Ignore SO” is turned OFF — Your investment (minus losses) is returned to your wallet and will not be reinvested.

Commissions

The table below shows all the commissions paid by investors and a managers in a Program.

  • GV commission: is the fee charged by the platform that is a percentage of the initial amount invested in a Program or a Fund.
  • Platform Success fee: is the fee charged on any profits generated by Programs or from a trade transaction when Copy Trading. It is calculated according to the HWM system as a percentage of the profit received from a Program during the reporting period or from a trade transaction when copy trading. We do not charge a Success Fee if there were no profits made.
  • Management fee: The commission that is paid to the manager by an investor for the actual asset management period. Management fee is defined in annual percentage and is charged at the end of each reporting period.
  • Success fee: is the fee charged on profits generated by Programs. It is calculated according to the HWM system as a percentage of the profit received from a Program during the reporting period. No profit means no Platform Success fee is charged.
  • Trading fee: is divided among all Program participants. (This percentage depends on the amount of GVT stored in the wallet. The maximum Success fees without any discounts applied is 10%. For every 1 000 GVT stored in the wallet reduces the success fee by 1% (i.e. an investor holding 1 000 GVT will only pay a 9% Success Fee, an investor holding 10 000 GVT will pay no Success Fees).

Manually closing a Program

A manager can choose to close a Program manually before the initial duration period that had been set. It can be done in the Program settings and pressing the ‘Сlose Program’ button. All of the investors funds in the Program are returned to the investors and manager. This is done completely at the managers discretion.
