I’m glad if you still grieve a loss.
It means you haven’t lost so much
that the losses blend into each other and
become faceless.

I’m glad if you think my anger is a sin.
It means you haven’t been forced
to face war with rage as
your only armour.

I’m glad that you have freedom to choose.
It means your choices have
not been interwoven into
the fates of others and
therefore, are not free.

I’m glad if I’m not your kind of folk.
It means you’ve never been locked in
a dungeon and been forced to
love your enemy to survive.

I’m glad if you renounce faith and a higher spirit.
It means you’ve never been stripped of
everything tangible or been forced to
open your eyes to the intangible
just to feel connected.

I’m glad you feel so judgmental towards me.
It means you still think you are free and
entitled enough to pass judgments, and…
