Seep into the Earth

He releases his pain

Toes touch the terrain as he strolls
Bare feet on the broken leaves
Sticks stab into his soles
Cracked chestnuts claw at his feet

He senses his spirit seep
Draining deeply down
Pain passing from its keep
Going through the ground

Sliding past the sediment
Into the iron core
To refashion in the furnace
Forged by an unknown force

Where yin and yang coalesce
To reemerge once more
As gardenia and green grass
Purified and transformed

I paint with words. My daytime canvas is K-12 digital curriculum. At night, poems. I try to share the beauty of authentic moments.
