During lockdown, I’ve been revisiting the classic sci-fi and fantasy novels I read in the 1960s-70s, when I was a teenager. What books such as Dune, Foundation, Wizard of Earthsea, Ender’s Game all have in common is that I remember very little of them. (A word about the kind of reader I am: I read Moby Dick for the plot.)
