Hi there,
tough times right!
As-if a warfare

Who knows if it’s a plot
or a lesson to be learned
Some even say,
that the tables have turned

Anywho,
I want to ask, to my (Indian) bro
how it feels like,
to be a girl, yo?

To be masked in the public,
to be distant,
trying your best to keep a safe distance

Having to follow a strict curfew,
wearing full sleeved packed clothes
not letting the skin show,
cause that’s askew!

Trying your best to be strong and cordial
in-spite of the physical and mental ordeal,
imposed by a foreigner (a stranger, an evil alchemist)
the few ignorant,
and a few blatant chauvinists

Low-key playing it safe
so as not to be at the controversial front
where you’ll be the one
who has to bare the brunt
