Your Tenderness Can Be Healing and Inspiring
Dear gentle souls,
Welcome to a fresh beginning in March. How did February go for you? February has been a super productive month for me. I’m happy to get into a new rhythm in writing and publishing more stories and interviews of people who inspire me with their Gentleness.
It delights me that some writers have found this publication recently and requested to join us. Thank you to our newest writers Katrina Bos, Reo, Madeline Phang, Pavitra Gurumurthi, and John Walter 📣. We look forward to reading your stories that radiate Gentleness. Thank you, Katrina, for publishing your first essay here already!😊
Here are our latest stories for February. Please browse through the titles and descriptions and read the stories that call out to your softer, gentler side. We all love to feel appreciated, so if any of these stories have touched your heart, please do offer your claps and sincere responses.
“But with myself? I was pretty mean. I wasn’t gentle at all. I ruled my inner self like a taskmaster who had to keep achieving to prove her worth — to herself and to society.”
Does this sound like you? Read on to find out what Katrina did to retire her inner taskmaster and be gentler with herself.
“Being gentle with yourself is rebellious. It is transformative and it is radical.”
Camille shares how being gentle with yourself can be hard and takes discipline. But it’s so worthwhile to keep practicing Gentleness.
I now believe I am beautiful. Just in the way I see the beauty in everything and everyone I meet. Beauty is in the small, the tiny, and the unconventional. It permeates into every smile and every twinkle in the eyes of people.
Many of us struggle with feeling beautiful. It’s so reassuring to learn from Camille how she finally accepts and embraces her natural beauty.
Speaking of beauty, I bought a dress that makes me feel so comfortable and beautiful. It inspired me to create a short intuitive dance video using my beautiful silk fan veils and I added some positive affirmations in the video too. I hope you’ll enjoy this little dose of gentle positivity. 😊
I’ve been wondering how can I use an analogy to describe Gentleness, and the concept of self-regulating your breathing came to me. Let me know if this resonates with you too.
New Gentleness Ambassador Interviews
Betty Kang inspires me with her flow art dances and the way she performs courageously in public spaces because it brings her joy!
In this interview, Pavitra Gurumurthi shares her practical and empowering insights on how deeply caring and highly sensitive women can bring tenderness into their authority. She shares a little about what her greatest teachers in life are.
Pavitra is going to publish more articles on Gentleness in this publication too. Thank you for joining us.😊
Here is a list of all the Gentleness Ambassador interviews I’ve published on Medium since August 2020. Happy reading!
Some Stories on Gentleness from Age of Empathy publication (AoE)
I love the personal essays that are published at AoE, and would like to share some of my favorite ones with you here.
Being Worthy Of Love by Christopher Robin
I love that Christopher practices gentleness by choosing not to force love back into his marriage. He chooses to love himself, and his wife, in spite of their relationship challenges. A truly honest, vulnerable, touching, and beautiful read.
Overcoming the Odds by Patty Latham
An empowering and healing read about how Patty found and embraced her calling through a heartbreaking tragedy in her childhood. To me, the gentleness here is about dedicating her work towards caring for animals in need.
Thank you, John, for joining us as a new writer here too!

A New Publication — Authentic Solopreneurs
I’m excited to share with you a new publication I just created a week ago — Authentic Solopreneurs. My intention for this new publication is for soulful solopreneurs to share their expertise and wisdom that arise from doing their professional work.
Readers can feel assured that they’re reading authentic, uplifting, and practical insights. Solopreneurs who are new to writing on Medium can use this as a platform to share their gentle wisdom too.
If this interests you as a reader, writer, or both, please do check out the publication and give it a Follow. Your support is greatly appreciated.
I will start writing fortnightly newsletters so they won’t be as long as this one.
Wishing you a beautiful upcoming month of March. 💗
Lots of gentle love,
