What happened for Android developers these past few days

Greetings fellow devs 🖖
Well… It’s been a pretty busy week! At Genymobile, we’ve pushed a new version of our Android AMIs (aka Genymotion On Demand v3.0). This one comes with Android Nougat, new widgets (camera and network) and – wait for it – a fully customizable SIM operator 😮📶
This is a first, and we’re proud to bring it to you 🤗
But enough about us! To the surprise of many, last week has also seen landing another release with the number 3… Android O’s new developer preview! A build with final APIs and SDK – which means it’s time to get your apps ready folks 👨💻👩💻
But don’t despair! As always I’ll share as much useful content as I can to help you all along 😉 Now let’s get to the meat of things!
In a nutshell
- 🚀 Genymotion On Demand 3.0 is out!
- 📱 Android O Developer Preview 3 is available
- ⚙ Also out: Google Play Services 11.0.0 (definitely a release week there).
- 😏 As Apple announces 7% for Nougat, distribution numbers get updated
- 🛠 There’s a tool out there letting you play with O’s new adaptive icons
