At the beginning of March, our team has been attending to Paris Ethereum Community Conference 2019. It was really incredible to meet the global crypto community: thousands of blockchain developers, startupers, opinion leaders, and enthusiasts came together to learn and discuss how blockchain technology will shape the world in the coming months and years.

We would like to say how grateful we are to the hosts, volunteers, and sponsors for such an amazing conference. EthCC brings together great minds and freethinkers, and allows the community to grow and spread. It was so really nice to meet new people who on the same wavelength as we are. We hope that Asseth would keep organizing such an event year by year.

GEO Protocol participated in great event Lightning Talks session for the first time ever and visited quite a few of the events that took place within the EthCC 2019. We are grateful to Pascal Van Hecke for the possibility to share the tech introduction to GEO Protocol, the ‘Highly efficient decentralized processing’ presentation by Max Demyan. This deep technical presentation explained the essentials of open source overlay protocol that enables the creation and interoperability of value transfer networks in a lightweight, cost-efficient, and scalable way.

The topics ranged from Ethereum smart contracts vulnerabilities, scalability, blockchain security, sharding algorithms, to discussing the blockchain ecosystem and how to get involved.

It is worth to mention, that we also spent a lot of time on various tracks, where have heard new ideas and discovered so many valuable pieces of knowledge. We were so glad to visit the great presentation on Ethereum technology at EthCC 2019 done by Lane Rettig.

Also, we were inspired with the presentation on DxDAO given by Matan Field, the architect at DAOstack, at a meetup organized by DAOstack and Gnosis teams. He was speaking about the existing scalability problem and new approaching to eliminate them to make a system more efficient.

It was nice to have a conversation with Thibault Meunier, a developer at Liquidity Network. We also discussed possible solutions to state channel problems of cross-chain transactions.

We were so pleased to meet Kristoffer Nærland from Trustlines Protocol. It's alway great to meet people that share a common mission with your own, and in this case it a to fully realize the potential of truslines.

We were truly exited and are still impressed by awesome things that happened at EthCC! It is a really great landmark for Ethereum and Web 3 developers.

Finally, we would like to say that such a well organized event with useful content, and the most prominent personalities in the industry, sets a high threshold for the whole crypto market. The EthCC conference brought us really good professional contacts with our potential partners from various countries.
