What is Geora?

Geora is a commercial blockchain platform build for agricultural supply chains. Founded by a team of farmers and technology experts, we provide digital infrastructure to trace, trade and finance global agri-supply chains. We aim to build systems where farmers and agribusiness are financially empowered, and new value can be created along the supply chain.

Our open source technology helps our community access the benefits of blockchain and smart contracts, applying these to a range of use cases in agriculture. Through both self-onboarding and assisted onboarding programs, Geora is helping our community of technology companies and agribusinesses be more efficient, sustainable and secure.

Geora originated as a workflow inside AgriDigital, and is the outcome of over three years spent testing and piloting blockchain with leading agriculture organisations. AgriDigital is the first user and customer on the Geora protocol.
