Thoughts on LA

I was visiting LA attending a friend’s wedding. And for once, other than driving to get around… I actually really really like Los Angeles, especially downtown. It’s lush, walkable, full of food and diversity, and decent architecture. However, it was one of the few cities where I haven’t been able to find street parking. Everything is either a lot for valet or impossibly expensive street parking. Also I saw 2 bikes all day. I guess that’s the beauty of it. No competition if you need to bike. . . . As I have visited LA more and more, my distaste for it has slowly erodes and the more I feel I could actually live there. It is no longer as polluted as I remember it to be, nor flat. Perhaps I’ve changed over the years and I’ve started to noticing the nuisance of a great city, or the city has finally created a decent downtown.
