Anti-lockdown protestors hit the streets in York, Austria and the Netherlands

Europe faces up to a new COVID strain as thousands of anti-lockdown protestors descend on the streets of York, Austria and the Netherlands. World leaders have implemented large fines to encourage people to get vaccinations. Unvaccinated people in Austria face fines of up to 500 if they break the rules. Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in York for a so-called “freedom protest” and took part in musical performances in front of York Minster.
