Look around your home or office, where is the beauty?

How much beauty do you have in your space?

Would it surprise you to know that beauty has the power to make you feel happy and less stressed?

Beauty has been central to our civilization for 2000 years as shown by this quote from Plato:

“Beauty is certainly a soft, smooth, slippery thing, and therefore of a nature which easily slips in and permeates our souls.” — Plato

Have you ever been in a space that made you feel happy, uplifted and relaxed?

Then you have first- hand experience with the impact of beauty on your well-being.

Beauty engages your Soul. When your mind and your Soul are engaged together you are living in “the flow”.

When you surround yourself with beauty:

  • You are more positive, happy and less stressed
  • Your positive outlook makes stressful situations simpler to handle
  • When tasks are simpler to handle you are more efficient and productive
  • Your positive attitude gives you more confidence
  • You may notice an improvement in your overall well-being

3 Ways to Include More Beauty in Your Surroundings

As you add more beauty to your home or workplace notice any changes in your state of mind, happiness, and confidence.

Way #1 — Bring in nature. Try fresh flowers, a healthy plant or a small water fountain. Bring in fresh flowers or pot of chrysanthemums, and/or a leafy green plant.

Real plants and flowers are always best because they are alive and bring in living energy.

If conditions will not allow a live plant to grow you can use silk flowers or plants if they look real. You may have to spend more to buy authentic looking silk plants, it will be worth it.

A small fountain adds the soothing sound of water to your space.

Way #2 — Bring in color. The most important aspect of bringing in color is that it must be a color you love.

Try a colorful pillow or rug, paint a wall a color that makes you feel happy and calm.

Bright colors are energizing whereas pastel colors are calming. Choose the colors that suit your tastes. Add colorful photographs of people or places that make you feel happy.

Way #3 — Bring in Intentional Art. Fill your space with the beauty of art that you create intentionally.

Imagine surrounding yourself with art that is infused with your intentions, desires and dreams.

The art you create with intention emits the energy field of what you desire. This art fills your space with beauty, bathes you in your intentions, and supports you as you manifest your desires.

These three ways are intended to support you as you increase the beauty in your surroundings boosting your happiness, confidence and peace of mind.

After you look around your surroundings you may find it is time to bring more beauty into you spaces. Have fun empowering you through your spaces.
