Beyond your frail and tired body
Your grey hair and fading memories
Beyond your new normal struggles
From all my treasured memories
I search for the man I once knew
That face of strength and comfort
In your shadow now hidden by Time
I search for pieces of your broken spirit
And give them a tight everlasting hug
And a few silent comforting whispers
To heal you and your body from within
And make you feel whole once more…
