Hiking is a love language for me. There is nothing like being out in nature moving your body. It’s healing and therapeutic for the soul.

Spring can be a tricky time to hike in Utah because of the snow melt and mud. Here are 5 hikes that are good for spring with kids and without kids.

⛰️Rock Canyon Trail (Provo, Utah)
This trail is 5.5 miles round trip but because it is an out and back trail you can turn around anytime and make it as long or short as you want. Fun hike if your kids like rocks.
⛰️Little Wild Horse Canyon (Hanksville, Utah)
This trail is an 8 mile loop but you can go out and back as far as you’d like. I just did this trail last week and my kids all said it was the best hike we have ever done. They loved it! We did about 2 miles in and 2 miles back out. .
⛰️Draper Suspension Bridge (Draper, Utah)
This hike is a 2.3 mile loop. We did this hike last summer as a GOTG group with kids and the kids all loved it. The bridge is fascinating and fun to walk across. If you time it right you can see beautiful wild flowers this spring. .
⛰️Lower Calf Creek Falls (Boulder, Utah)
This is a 5.5 miles out and back trail. Easy hike with a gorgeous waterfall that will make you feel like you’ve left Utah and gone to Hawaii. Grand Staircase — Escalante National Monument is a beautiful area to explore.
⛰️The Living Room Lookout (Salt Lake City, Utah) WAIT TO GO UNTIL LATE SPRING
This trail is 2.3 miles out and back. This is a great hike with beautiful views of the Salt Lake Valley. There are rocks at the lookout point which act as chairs for you to sit and enjoy the view. Hence the name “The Living Room” If you go with kids plan to take your time and rest often due to the incline.

If you go on any of these hikes tag me on Instagram @get_out_there_girl and show me your photos. I would love to see them.

Any hikes you would add to this list?
