From January 10th until February 5th of 2020, thousands of people are attending SKALAR, an amazingly innovative experience in the heart of Amsterdam, which is open every day.

For this, the innovative ticketing solution of blockchain-based project GET Protocol is used. The GET protocol can be used by any ticketing companies worldwide to issue honest and digital tickets.

Its first user, GUTS Tickets, is supplying the smart tickets for this event. These smart tickets add another layer of innovation on the event, as they are registered on the blockchain and, amongst many other things, protect visitors from scalping and ticket fraud.

About SKALAR

GUTS Tickets client Audio Obscura is co-producing the event, as part of their continuous innovation. They provide their tens of thousands of visitors from dozens of different countries with original, top-of-the-line event experiences. They may have outdone themselves this time though.

A stunning audio-visual kinetic art installation SKALAR by light artist Christopher Bauder and musician Kangding Ray will land in Amsterdam in January 2020. This large-scale artistic production is a collaboration between Berlin’s design and art studio WHITEvoid, Amsterdam electronic music promoters Audio Obscura and one of the city’s most important cultural venues, Westergas. Last seen in Berlin in 2018 where it delighted many thousands of people with its cutting-edge blend of kinetic mirrors, perfectly synchronized moving lights and intense sonic soundscapes, SKALAR will reside in the iconic Gashouder in Amsterdam from January 10 to February 5, 2020.

Check out what the installation looked like in Berlin last year:

5-stars all around

At the time of writing, the event has only opened its doors 5 days ago, and already the press is publishing rave reviews:

About GET Protocol

The GET Protocol team is proud to be facilitating the ticketing of such an innovative event. It coincides with the scaling up of our system and its capabilities. This is in line with the stadium shows, sold-out national comedy tour and recent festival that have been announced over the past year by GET Protocol user GUTS Tickets.

In 2019, a second ticketing company has started integrating the GET Protocol, and just recently the first smart tickets have begun to be issued in South Korea, by a local partner. More info on that will be released very soon.

The GET token

An important part of the workings of the protocol is the GET token. This is a utility token, which serves a valuable purpose as a type of fuel for the smart tickets that are issued by the protocol.

For every smart ticket that is issued using the protocol, GET is required to enable its features and usage. At the end of an event cycle, a certain amount of GET is ‘burned’ and taken out of circulation forever.

There is a lot more to be said about the tokenomics of GET; for this you can take a look on the token page of the GET Protocol website:
