Submission Guidelines for Get Scientific

The aims of this publication are two-fold:

1. Aid scientists and science writers in practicing scientific communication and monetizing their efforts.
2. Enhance science communication through short stories that are relatable to the public

We accept scientific stories that are 5 minutes of reading time or less.

Your stories can be related to all areas of science. Your story needs to be readable for everyone without jargon or technical language.

Types of Articles We Accept

1. Summaries of scientific papers
2. Explanation of scientific topics
3. Reactions to current scientific news
4. Science communication advice articles

If you are writing about graduate school or research topics, please consider submitting these stories to our graduate school publication PhD Life.

We do not accept Science Fiction stories.

Submission Guidelines

1. Please use a title in title case, subtitle in sentence case, and a feature image directly below the title and subtitle.
2. We will accept both draft and published submissions.
3. Please format your story to make it easy to read without large sections of text.
