Your bathroom serves many functions. It’s the place where you spend hours getting ready for a highly anticipated date. It’s the place where you go to run a hot bath after a long, stressful day. It might even be the place where you go for a minute or two of silence. No matter how many zeros you find at the end of your budget, your bathroom should be your sanctuary!

Whether or not you have the time and money to devote to a full bathroom remodel, you can easily transform your space into 5-Star Hotel status with these weekend updates.

1. Replace old light fixtures:

What’s more important than good lighting when getting ready? With a multitude of colors, materials, and shapes on the market at a wide range of prices, you will be able to find an updated light fixture to match your style. Create a focal point in any bathroom with wall sconces or a chandelier.

2. Update the faucet:

Do you find yourself constantly scrubbing your sink faucet, only to find that it’s still dirty after the next use? This may be a good indicator that its time for an upgrade. Why not nix your classic silver faucet and go with a polished brass one like this? Not only will your bathroom look instantly chic, this finish will also protect from water spots and unsightly fingerprints.

3. Replace old shower curtains:

A simple way to revamp your bath is to buy a new shower curtain. Better yet, buy two! Achieve an ultra-luxurious look by hanging both shower curtains as if you are styling a window.

4. Make a statement with wallpaper:

Sure, paint does wonders, but you can give your walls an even bolder facelift with wallpaper! Want a marble-slab wall, but can’t afford it? Well, get the next best thing with faux marble wallpaper.

5. Add a towel warmer:

While an in-home towel warmer may sound pretty pricey, they are actually extremely reasonable. You can even customize it to match your other bathroom fixtures!

6. Replace outdated hardware:

This old trick isn’t only for kitchens! Especially if you are a renter, replacing outdated knobs and handles is a simple, yet impactful way to stylize your space without making permanent updates.

7. Install floating shelves:

Does your countertop somehow always appear cluttered? If you are lacking in space, adding a couple floating shelves may just do the trick!

8. Buy a new rug:

As with any space, sometimes all you need is a colorful pick-me-up! With the affordability of many small, bathroom rugs you can mix it up whenever you choose. Go with highly absorbent fabrics such as Cotton, Olefin, and Chenille.

9. Display decorative towels:

This may seem like a no-brainer, but displaying decorative towels are a tell-tale sign that you have officially entered adulthood. Your bathroom will instantly appear more inviting and put together.

10. Give your cabinets a facelift:

If you have cabinets with molding, but consider your style more modern, simply purchase mosaic tiles from your local hardware store, apply adhesive, and place within the door panel. Get the how-to guide here!

72 hours may not sound like a whole lot of time, but you can easily take on one, two, or all of these projects during a quiet weekend in!
