Shre on Twitter!

With Fall comes countless temptations to indulge in pumpkin spice lattes, caramel apples, and not to mention, Thanksgiving dinners. While we typically find ourselves at the gym in anticipation of Summer, colder weather is a great reason to get started on a new workout regimen from home. Similar to the way a new outfit may encourage you to make the trek to the gym, having a well kept workout space may inspire you to stay active year-round.

Read on for our stylish tips on organizing and storing your fitness equipment and accessories!

1. Display your yoga mats in statement-worthy storage bins:

Why spend the money on cute, geometric yoga mats to match your home decor, if you aren’t going to display them proudly? Storing your yoga mat in a transparent bin will also serve as a beautiful reminder to get your flow on!

2. Accessorize your exercise ball:

While the use of an exercise ball can majorly improve your workout, they are extremely difficult to store and can disrupt your sense of interior style. These statement-worthy exercise balls from PB Teen also serve as stylish seating for a desk or exercise space.

3. Place yoga mats inside shelf brackets:

Who knew that a simple shelf could have multiple uses? Roll your yoga mats and store in shelf brackets.

4. Create a mediation nook with your favorite textiles:

When making a lifestyle change, it’s important to balance both body and mind. Designate a space in your home with calming colors and comfortable textures for a distraction-free meditative experience.

5. Hang jump ropes and tension bands on hooks:

Hiding your jump ropes and tension bands in storage containers can create a tangled mess and prevent you from further use. Display your neon fitness accessories on sleek hooks for a stylish, yet sporty look.

6. Add a mini frige:

Stock your mini fridge with electrolyte-heavy fluids and protein drinks to motivate you throughout your workout. Easy access to cool refreshments is a must when creating an in-home workout space.

7. Hang loose items on a pegboard:

Keep headphones and reading material on hand throughout your workout. Simply nail a standard pegboard to the wall, add a couple hooks, some metallic tin buckets, and instantly create chic storage wall for all of your workout essentials.

8. Store bright hand towels in cubbies:

After a long workout, having a towel readily available is a must. Keep cubbies stocked with clean and colorful towels.

Let’s face it — most workout equipment is a true eye sore and while we wish that we could just lock it all quietly away in its own space, many of us don’t have the means to create a home gym. From dumbbells to yoga mats, stylishly store and display your fitness accessories with these simple tips!
