September is just around the corner, and it’s one of the best times of the year to travel. The weather is beautiful and the crowds are smaller, which means shorter lines and more time spent relaxing or exploring.

Scroll through for our favorite travel essentials and tips on traveling in well-designed style!

The Essentials

You won’t get far without a wallet and we’re loving this trendy black and white polka dot pick with a tan leather strap.

Don’t forget a chic leather travel journal — perfect for writing down memories, ideas and important travel and itinerary details.

It’s All in the Accessories

Shoes matter. D’orsay flats are our go-to shoes to wear while traveling — they’re chic, light, comfortable, and easy to slip on and off when going through security.

When traveling via airplane, you always run the risk of the airline losing your luggage, so make sure to carry a large leather shopper bag with all of your essentials.

We’re head over heels for this ladylike hat from Anthropologie. Simple and lightweight, the hat pairs perfectly with the blue d’orsay flats.

Design Your Way to Perfect Travels

When traveling outside of the country, you’ll absolutely want to have a passport sleeve. Separate from your wallet, a sleeve carries your passport, visa and any other travel-related documents that you’ll want to keep grouped together. This passport sleeve matches our shopper bag perfectly!

Expect the unexpected. Always bring along a cute pen for jotting down quick notes or filling out paperwork during your travels. Having a pen handy can help you stay on your toes and save you time and trouble.

The Bare Necessities

Yes, we know iPhones exist but if you want high-quality pictures of your travels, a small, lightweight camera doesn’t take up much space and makes you seem like a legit traveler.

A sturdy pair of shades like these Ray Bans make travel easier on the eyes and help eliminate window glare.

Always pack a leather toiletry case to keep your small necessities organized and give you easy access to little things you might need on the road.

Smart Traveler Add-Ons

This leather backpack strikes the perfect balance between elegant and rugged-chic, and it’s just the right size to store all of your carry-on essentials.

Stay warm. Airplanes get really cold and those blankets they give you tend to be pretty useless, so why not bring your own? This ultra soft cobalt blue and ivory throw pairs perfectly with brown leather accents and will definitely come in handy throughout your trip.

You never know when you’ll have to wait, so we recommend always carrying a good book with you.

Bon voyage!

xoxo, Laurel & Wolf
