While we love an open floor plan, not all of us are living in sprawling mansions. But a lack of space doesn’t mean you have to forgo a beautiful and comfortable space. By carefully selecting home furnishings and utilizing creative storage solutions, you can create your ultimate dream home!

One of our favorite ways to express yourself in a small space is using wallpaper! A powder room or entryway is the perfect area for decorating with wallpaper. Your space will quickly transform to feeling rich, grandiose and inviting.

Maximize your wall space by adding bookshelves. The shelves will give you the opportunity to display your style by decorating with your most treasured pieces, including vases, books, and picture frames.

You can give the illusion of a taller ceiling by adding vertical stripes to drapery. Complete your room by selecting complementary colors that will create an overall flow in your space.

When you’re furnishing a small room, it is essential to scale furniture to fit the size of your room. Selecting streamlined, modern furniture will help to make the space feel more open.

Take advantage of corners, especially in the kitchen. If you don’t have room for a traditional table and chairs, consider installing a banquet, which can double as a stylish reading nook!

Painting one wall a deeper color can work wonders in a small space. Decorate with artwork on the wall to create a focal point centered around your art piece as opposed to the size of the room.
