Quick guide: Halloween treats you can make at home!

We’re getting excited for Halloween and want to share with you some of our favourite healthy kids halloween snacks you can quickly make at home:

  1. Fruit monsters by Listotic!

We love these cute / scary healthy treats! You’ll need strawberries, apples, peanut butter and sunflower seeds. Plus, you’ll need edible eyes which you can find in most supermarkets or craft stores.

First, cut your apples into quarters, then make two indents on the side with the skin to create the mouth. Cut strawberries lengthways into slices.

Spread peanut butter on the lower slide of the mouth, stick the strawberry slice in the middle and push some sunflower seeds into the top of the flesh of the apple in the mouth. Once the eyes are in place you’re all set!

P.s. if you’re stuck for eyes you can use marshmallows on candy sticks ;)

2. Pumpkin Orange by Frugal Coupon Living!

Have fun carving pumpkins with a twist. Simply cut the top off some oranges and carve out the insides. Then, from the outside, cut small holes for the face then fill with any healthy snack of your choice!

3. Creepy Carrot fingers by Tesco!

There are lots of different ways to do this one…

Creep your guests out by peeling down carrots to the size of fingers, then cutting 3 lines 1/3 and 2/3 down the stick to make the knuckles! Once you have your finger ready, cut the end into a point, making sure the front of the finger is flat.

You can stick almonds to make the nails, or thin slides of pepper. To do this, use peanut butter or hummus as glue.
