When creating your business website on Fidia, one of the most important parts of it is the sections. They serve as a building block for your website.
The sections are divided into four (4) blocks namely;
Basic Blocks
These are blocks that allow you to tell people about yourself or your creative business.
They are mostly in the form of text or links. There are three types of basic blocks;
- About: This allows you to tell your audience about yourself through appropriate descriptions and images.
- Text: You can add more text blocks to write about anything and everything.
- Links: This section allows you to include links to relevant resources.
Media Blocks
Consider the media block to be the ideal place to share your creative business media files and anything noteworthy you’ve worked on.
It is divided into several categories to meet all of your media needs.
- Images allow you to create a gallery on your website that can be customised to appear as carousels or grids.
- Videos: You can import YouTube videos and embed them on your website.
- Projects: If you have worked on notable projects, include as many as possible for the enjoyment of your viewers.
- Twitter Embeds: Do you have an important or favourite tweet that you want your visitors to see? Use this block to embed them.
- Music links: You can embed Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, or SoundCloud links.
- Podcast RSS feed: Moving your podcast to fidia is simpler than you might think. Using this feature, you can import your podcast content.
Growth Blocks
If you want to build an audience, create a community, collect contact information from visitors to your website, or allow visitors to leave a message for you, the growth blocks are all you need.
It is divided into two major categories;
- Email distribution list: This allows you to collect your visitors’ emails and create a mailing list.
- Contact form: This allows your visitors to leave a message for you.
Monetization Blocks
The monetization block allows you to earn money in a variety of ways, including selling items or requesting support.
There are currently two (2) categories in the monetization block;
- Tipping is a way for your audience to support your work by sending you money.
- Digital products: This allows you to promote your digital products and services to increase sales.
