Can Yoga be a daily cup of tea?
Yoga is a fine combination of mind, body, breathing, twisting and of course concentration. I as a fitness buzz sternly believe that Yoga not only helps in improving our physical appearance but helps in improving my mental strength to a greater extent.
I have made yoga my alternate required cup of tea even more because it helps me to maintain the imbalances of my uninvited cheat days.
Keeping all this in mind, my clients and readers often asks me “ How do I start my day?”
I gently reply -YOGA.
As a fitness counselor and practicer I start my day with “Surya Namaskara” which is a graceful path to open up or stretch our body. Keeping in mind the meaning of this asana which says “Sun as the soul and the source of all life.”
This is the best and most suggested warm up routine as it comes with huge benefits like weight loss, strengthening of muscle and joints, better functioning of digestive system, cope up with Insomnia, helps in regular menstrual cycle, controls your blood and sugar levels and so much more.
Next , which is loved by me and also followed by many will be Dhanurasana which is practised in the lying position. ‘’Dhanu means bow.’’ It is a fantastic stretch for the spine, abdomen, hip flexors, biceps and pecs. It is an all-round and great body-opening backbend. While doing this we should make sure to engage our core muscles, and encourage the spine to bend evenly. This regular practice will relieve regular lower back pain, release tension, stretches the chest, open hips, relaxes the shoulders, effective in weight loss, energies the body, treats diabetes and so much more.
There are so many more to grasp and exercises in Yoga. Now, let me stop here for today and allow you to swallow these two prime exercises which helps in numerous ways.
