The Week of 22nd May — 27th May in News by Goya

Here’s a quick roundup of the stories that Goya shared on social media this week.

AlJazeera English reported that as Thailand marked the 3-year anniversary of the May 2014 military coup today, a bomb blast at a hospital in Bangkok injured 24.
TIME did a story later in the week suggesting Thailand could be entering a period of much enhanced political instability.. Was the Bangkok Hospital Bombing a Rare Glimpse of Turmoil Within Thailand’s Military Regime?

The next day itself, 23rd May, Tuesday, we were aghast to hear about the suicide bombing and death of 22 people attending American singer, Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester, England.

Bloomberg presented some more investigations on the ransomware WannaCry attack of the previous weeks.

#Cybersecurity researchers at Symantec Corp. and FireEye Inc. have uncovered more evidence tying this month’s #WannaCry global #ransomware attacks to North Korea.⠀

The Verge gave us a dose of nostalgia with the announcement of the comeback of the Nokia 3310 at Mobile World Congress.

The Hindu (and a lot of the Indian media) covered the Indian prime minister Narendra Modi’s report card on the completion of 3 years by the government.

Lastly, on Friday, the G7 summit began.
