It is soooooo hot outside and it is also normal to pop out a cold drinks soda bottle out of that refrigerator and pour some in a glass filled with ice. Consuming this soda will give you a temporary peace of mind which will definitely not last the whole day. The ancient Ayurveda comes to the rescue. Ayurveda has listed a number of drinks that help you keep cool this summer.

AAM PANNA (Mango Sorbet)

A refreshing summer drink made of mango pulp blended with cumin, jeera and mint leaves. Aam panna is a desi hit which is not only refreshing but also energizing. It helps you get hydrated in an instant and aids in battling scorching heat.

Nimbu Pani (Lemon Water)

Be it summer or winter or spring, this beverage is a all time hit, no matter what season it is. A full squeeze of lemon juice in 3/4th glass of water along with a pinch of salt and sugar, makes your entire body rejuvenated. To add some extra flavor to this, grind some green cardamom and add it to this drink.

Rose Milk

Prepare a rose syrup at home by boiling a cup of water and sugar. Boil it in medium flame until the mixture thickens. Then add fresh rose petals to the mixture and simmer in low heat until the petal turn dry. You may add rose essence for the elevated flavor and some pink food coloring to add the nice pinkish hue. Next, in a cup of chilled milk add this syrup and some ice cubes. Enjoy the drink!!

Cucumber Mint Water

It might sound like a strange combination, but cold water with a couple of slices of cucumber and a sprig of mint is a delicious, cooling summer drink. You can serve this up one glass at a time or put together a whole pitcher to keep in the fridge. Just combine half of a sliced cucumber and 1/2 cup of coarsely chopped mint in a four quart pitcher. Top the pitcher off with 16 cups of water and chill until you’re ready to serve. Add some grated ginger for extra flavor.

Coconut Water

Coconut water is rich in electrolytes and potassium, which makes it perfect for replenishing your body after exposure to the summer heat. Unlike its richer cousin coconut milk, coconut water is low in fat and calories. You can drink your coconut water chilled on its own or add a squeeze of lime to brighten it up. It’s also great for adding a tropical twist to your morning smoothie!

Do try the above drinks to refresh yourself from the hot summer. Come back and comment which one among these were your favorite. Follow me for more such freshly brewed content. If you liked this content don’t forget to clap for me.
