Brief thoughts for a Healthy New Year

I’ll keep this brief as my first coffee of the year kicks in.

  • Small and sustainable steps, executed consistently over time, have a powerful and transformative impact. Habits drive what we do most of the time. Install healthy habits, change that baseline.
  • Start with small wins, build on it. Going from the couch to hitting the gym hard is more likely to land us at the doctor’s office than making us healthier.
  • While health resolutions usually involve exercise, diet has a much bigger hold on overall health and deserves priority even though it can be challenging. Exercise can make us feel and look better very quickly and can motivate other changes but long term diet wins.
  • That said, exercise is great. Follow the links for some thoughts on motivation and making time to exercise.

Have a great year!
