Healthy Snack Attack…!!

When it comes to a snack attack in the evening it is all too easy to grab a packet of chips or a candy bar. That is why I am sharing with you three simple but delicious snack ideas that will explode your taste buds and make you crave for more, keeping you healthy and safe. So let’s get started.

The Parfait

Cut some peaches and drizzle some honey over it. Add two pinches of cinnamon to this. Mix it well. Then in a mason jar add a layer of the peaches, a layer of fresh almonds and then a layer of vanilla or strawberry flavored Greek yogurt. Keep layering until the jar is filled up to the brim. You can make this recipe ahead of time and store it in a refrigerator. When you want to eat them just give it a good shake..

The Salty Nut Snack

When you have a salty snack attack this will be a perfect treat for you. In a bowl mix a cup of barbecue flavored almonds, half a cup of pepitas and half a cup of sunflower seeds. To this mixture of nuts and seeds add some tamari sauce or soy sauce whichever you prefer. Add half a teaspoon of garlic powder, half a teaspoon of onion powder and some cayenne pepper to taste. Toss all the ingredients until they are evenly coated. Next bake them for about five to ten minutes. Make sure the nuts don’t burn… Enjoy once ready!!

Chocolate Chia Pudding

In a cup with three-fourth filled with almond milk add one tablespoon of chia seeds, one teaspoon of cocoa powder, one tablespoon of maple syrup, half a cup of cherries, either chopped or as a whole which ever you like. Combine all the ingredients and store it in the refrigerator for atleast four hours so that a firm pudding is formed. Add half a cup of chocolate flavored almonds as a top layer to the cold mixture and enjoy the pudding!!
