Why we built Rolo

Many of us know one person who is disciplined and systematic. She never forgets to call you on your birthday. Every time you call her, she remembers you and remembers what you talked about last time — even if it was a long time ago. If she promises to do something, she always does it.

Normally, it is hard to do this. It becomes impossible if you are a busy professional who gets many calls in a day.

I know…. I have tried.

I have tried using a pen and paper, but it becomes difficult to search through my notes. I have tried using an excel sheet, but it becomes difficult to use when I am on the move. I have tried using apps and software tools, but I have always ended up using multiple tools, one for notes, one for to-do and so on.

And then it hit me.

People are the life-blood of a business. No solution would work unless it was built around the people I know and work with. This was the idea around which we created Rolo.

We built Rolo to help you manage your interactions with the people in your life. We quickly realised that, if it had to work well, Rolo had to integrate seamlessly with the things you do every day. So we built Rolo around your address book.

At first glance, Rolo looks like an address book or a contact manager. It shows your contacts and merges them. You can view your call logs, SMS logs. You can make calls and send SMS.

Beneath all this, Rolo packs a powerful punch. The EZ Menu under every call log lets you add notes and reminders for a contact. With this, Rolo becomes the only place where you need to write and maintain notes about your clients, vendors or business associates. Reminders eliminate the need for a separate to-do app.

When you get a call, Roloscope gives you complete information about the person who is calling.

The Roloscope In Action

With Rolo, we believe that we have built a tool that professionals and busy people can use to track and manage all their interactions with their contacts.

Rolo is now available on Google Play. Go ahead. Download Rolo and tell us what you think. What would you like to see us do next? Leave a review if you can!
