An important warning about Scatter links in Youtube videos
Hi guys, just a quick heads up.
I noticed a worrying trend both in Telegram and in Youtube that I think I should make a public service announcement about.
When doing a search in Youtube for “Scatter eos” I noticed that all the recent videos are spam videos with links to a “scatter.exe” file.
This is not from us and is almost certainly a virus or scam to steal your cryptocurrency.
If you see a link that is either not from “get-scatter.com” or from this page on our github repository, DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND RUN IT.
We from scatter will absolutely never send you a file to run, so don’t trust anyone who does. Not in Telegram, Discord, Skype, via Email, Whatsapp, or any other medium.
If you see someone doing this, please report them. Please let us know about anything untoward that you see so that we can deal with it. We’re trying to build a safer community together.
