At my chess club, some were discussing whether to analyze blitz games. I tried using the engine a few times last year to see my blunders and read what the engine said the best move would have been. After doing this for a few games, I was obviously ill-equipped to analyze my games with or without the engine’s help.

One of the members showed me a neat Lichess feature called “Learn From Your Games” that you access after requesting a computer analysis for the completed game. I was disappointed to discover this feature doesn’t exist for games in the Lichess Study chapters.

Steps to Using This Feature

1. Select the game

Your completed games are stored in your Lichess profile. Click on one to open it.

2. Get the engine analysis

Click the “Request Computer Analysis” button and wait for the engine to finish its analysis.

3. Start learning from your blunders and/or mistakes

Click the blue “LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES” button, and the board will show the first position where you made a blunder or…
