Having aphantasia requires me to use my memory when others can easily form images in their minds. Listing squares where a rook can move from any point on the board is easy. Doing this for the knight is far more difficult than for the bishop. If I can master this skill with the diagonals, I’d be able to list all the squares a rook, bishop or queen can move…
