Launching Transmission to power intermodal trucking fleets
Today we are excited to announce Transmission, the trucking platform built to power your fleet. Transmission’s flagship product is a lightweight, FMCSA-certified electronic logging device (ELD) solution supported on both iOS and Android. Transmission’s ELD is easy to use, takes just minutes to install, and is available in English, Spanish, and Mandarin.
Transmission, a Flexport venture, was born to solve a real market need for drayage and cartage carriers. Time and again when our team met with trucking partners in their offices and yards, we heard about the same types of problems: ELD solutions are difficult for drivers to use, the software that carriers use to manage operations is antiquated, and meanwhile, their customers demand faster transit times and real-time updates. The opportunity to help solve these problems became clear, so we set out to build an accessible, modern trucking platform that benefits drivers, carriers, and their customers.
We have already seen the positive impact of Transmission with both drivers and carriers, like Long Beach-based JC Transport, who has already gleaned new insights into its operations. Providing solutions for our customers’ real-world problems continues to be the most rewarding part of our job at Transmission.
