You become what you think about — how the mind works

I’ve heard it hundreds of times in my life, but it was only a few years ago that I truly understood what it meant. So, let me share my lightbulb moment with you.

You see, there is the outside world and there is your world. Your world is the world created by your mind. It can be incredibly big, or it can be incredibly small. It can be a wonderful place in which you are the king or queen, or it can be a dark place which makes you unhappy and lonely.

It is important to understand, that “your world” is not some make-believe magical fantasy. You should by no means live an illusion, no. But if you rule your world, then you will have an essential advantage in ruling the outside world too.

What you think in your world will manifest in the outside world.

Everything in your life starts with a thought. Those thoughts turn into words — because your mind hears them all the time. Those words turn into beliefs. Then those beliefs turn into the rules by which you live your life. Here is an example:

Let’s say you have a talent that you would like to give to the world. But you keep thinking, saying and believing that your talent is not good enough. Day after day you think “I am not good enough. I am average. People will not like what I have to offer”. When you keep thinking this, your mind goes “well, the thoughts keep telling me this so it must be true!”. And so it becomes even stronger and influences you so much until you finally become what you think about — not good enough because you never put your talent to use. You neglected your talent, and you killed it.

Pretty scary, I know! But this does NOT have to be YOUR STORY!

Wake up now, and realize this — it is never too late to be what you might have been.
