There’s all these articles out there about the 3 great traits of a CEO or a CFO or an entrepreneur or a whatever.

Quite frankly you don’t have to be any of those to be a great somebody.

So today I’m here to give you the 4 traits of a great somebody.

Doesn’t matter whether you’re 18 or 80 you need these.

VISION

Anybody who’s worth a damn has vision. They know where they want to go and I’ll do anything to get there. I’m often surprised how many CEO’s lack vision. But this really doesn’t have to do with being a CEO like I said. It’s about being a human being and knowing what you want. It’s about having hopes and dreams and then going after them. Don’t keep your vision to yourself. Share it and it will grow.

LEADERSHIP

You need to be able to lead yourself first and foremost. You must learn to master yourself or as the saying goes Know thyself. Please note, if you can’t master your own habits and behaviors and lead yourself — you will struggle and the relationships around you will suffer. In work and in life. Learn to lead.

The second part of leadership is leading others. There are whole schools of thought around this subject but needless to say you need to be able to inspire, rally and motivating people.

LISTENING

Anyone who’s worth a lick of salt listens to others. I don’t mean giving lip service. I don’t mean being a know it all and shall I say fake listening. I’m talking about real empathetic listening. Mouth closed ears and heart open listening. This is where you’ll gain some of your deepest insights.

And last but not least is action.

ACTION

Any good somebody takes action. They know when to strike and they know when to sit back and let things roll. They know how to take action which is super important and even more important they know how to delegate and scale action.

So there you have it.

Learn and do these 4 traits/behaviors and you’ll have a great journey.

Of that I can assure you.

The best people I’ve worked with and continue to work with are great somebodies.

Some of them are leaders in their organizations, and some of them are even CEO’s.

But at the end of the day any great somebody can make a difference.

Thanks for reading! If you enjoyed this article, I’d appreciate a few 👏’s.
It would mean a lot to me and it helps other people see the story.
