Microsoft Office 365 is everywhere.

Over 90% of the clients that I work with are on the Office 365 platform.

It’s fairly easy to get started with Office 365.

All it takes is a some basic tech skills and a credit card and you’re up and running.

It’s pretty awesome.

With a little effort your company can move their email, files and data into the cloud.

But wait, there’s more.

What’s great about Office 365 is that it’s easy to get up and running with a vanilla install.

But it’s important to understand that there’s more.

Microsoft is building out an entire platform to run your business.

The Office 365 platform is designed for both startups and Fortune 100 companies.

And as a result, there’s a lot under the hood.

One question that often comes up is — Can I do more with Office 365?

And the answer is — Yes.

There’s plenty of runway after the install.

There are gains to be had that align with the 4 Tenets of Tech.

Recoverability, Reliability, Security and Productivity.

It’s not just about maximizing your investment.

It’s about making sure that your tech is set up properly to enable your business.

Enter the Microsoft Office 365 Assessment.

It’s just an idea I have at this point.

My plan is to map out an optimum configuration for businesses on the platform.

More on this later.

For now, the main takeaway is that vanilla installs aren’t the way to go.

Sure you’re up and running.

But there’s still more work to be done.

There’s some tweaking, tuning and general upkeep that needs to happen in order fully realize potential of what you have.

If you think there’s more you can do with Microsoft Office 365 there is.

It just takes a conversation to get started.
