Overwatch is one of the games that was widely anticipated for 2016. The open beta from May 5 to May 9 created a huge buzz. This game showcases console and PC gaming at their best. Amazing graphics and smooth game play give this game a Metascore of 91 on Metacritic!

Our reaction when the beta happened was to look as giddy as Tracer:

We were in awe at the fun in the game. This is a unique FPS (First Person Shooter) game, in keeping with the Blizzard tradition of having their own take on FPS.

During the beta, GIF making by the community started heating up on Gfycat. Everybody was excited to create HD quality GIFs and soon, subreddits such as r/overwatch were filling up with fun video-quality GIFs.

The public release happened a few days after that and well, the rest is history. Blizzard announced on June 2 that Overwatch now has 7 million players!

Today, June 9, the number of Gfycat GIFs created by the Overwatch gaming community passed 10,000!
