One of the top use-cases for why people love to create content on Gfycat is the ability to augment a story with an embedded GIF from Gfycat. With the amazing quality of Gfycat, the moment highlighted in the article really shines.

We’re humbled by the uptake of Gfycat as embedded content for lots of sites. Tens of thousands of top sites have chosen to use our platform to enrich their stories.

Many publishers use WordPress as their CMS (Content Management System) and until recently, an editor had to be somewhat HTML-savvy to embed Gfycat. The community requested Gfycat native support and our friends at WordPress.com were really obliging and delivered the support just in time for the holidays.

To best support WordPress, we added support for oEmbed, a format that allows an embedded representation of a URL on 3rd-party sites. Publishers that use their own CMS as well as other CMS tools can now add support for Gfycat in a few minutes.

Alex Mills over at WordPress.com and Automattic posted this page on his blog. You can see Gfycat in all its glory on WordPress now.
