Nintendo Switch Release Day Extravaganza!

It’s finally here, the day you’ve all been waiting for! It’s time to Switch off your other consoles and immerse yourself in Nintendo’s world of playful portability. That’s right — the Nintendo Switch has arrived!

In case you’ve been living under this rock:

Nintendo Switch is the height of innovation in portable gaming, combining the power and playfulness of the developer’s home consoles with the handheld convenience of the DS series. Sure, it may not have the power of the Xbox One or PS4, but who needs power when you have Big Pimpin’ Bowser?

Or slinky arms with big fists?

Like the American release of the Nintendo Wii, the Switch will be getting its own launch Legend of Zelda title, though this one isn’t a subpar port. Built strictly for the Switch, Breath of the Wild follows an amnesiac Link who, after sleeping for 100-years, decides to stop hitting the snooze and save Hyrule from his staple antagonist, Ganon. Sure, it’s not a massive plot change from prior Zelda titles, but something tells us you’ll be a bit preoccupied with awesome backflips,

And pyromaniac Link to even notice the reused setup.

Though Zelda is going to eat up the next few weeks of your life, Ninten-DON’T forget about the other fun launch titles like the friendship-testing physics frenzy Snipperclips,

Everyone’s favorite limb-flailing simulator, Just Dance 2017,

And, of course, Nintendo’s staple party title, 1–2-Switch, which, as you can see, is just so much … fun?

Okay, so Snipperclips and Breath of the Wild are sure to take up most of your time until Splatoon 2 releases in the summer, but the future of Switch is bright. Along with the highly anticipated port of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, and an untitled Shin Megami Tensei title, Nintendo has one massive ace up their sleeve that’ll surely sell the Switch for the holiday season.
