4th Ghana eCommerce Expo Happening Nov 23–24 in Accra
Ghana’s burgeoning online business community will once again meet in Accra for the 4th Ghana eCommerce Expo and Conference on 23–24 November 2017, under the theme, “Shaping Ghana’s eCommerce Landscape through Innovation, Regulation and Adoption. Together”. This important annual gathering of leading ecommerce retailers, fintechs, digital payment platforms, telcos, digital banks, Internet Service Providers, mobile app developers, cyber security firms and major players in Ghana’s online business space is powered by OML Africa, organizers of high profile corporate events.
In the fourth edition of the eCommerce Expo since its maiden edition in 2013, this year’s event will provide a unique platform for over 50 exhibitors, 100 conference delegates and nearly 2,000 exhibition visitors to share knowledge, learn from leading experts, update themselves with latest trends in ecommerce, build new business contacts offline, showcase latest technologies as well as network with major players in Ghana’s fast growing online business market.
According to Paul Asinor, speaking on behalf of the OML Africa, the organizers, “I am very excited about this year as activity in Ghana’s online and digital space has been overwhelming. With almost all banks launching a mobile banking app, government agencies going digital with online payment platforms, Smart Divers Licenses being launched, efforts to acquire national digital addresses, paperless ports, workers being encouraged to receive salaries on cashless platforms, etc, only mean Ghana is getting the right message that the future, especially in business, is online. Ghana has to get its systems in order to take advantage of the $75 billion eCommerce trade value in Africa’s leading economies by 2025 as projected by the McKinsey Global Institute.”
“Registration for free tickets to the exhibition only opened a few weeks ago and already hundreds have registered to attend the exhibition and view the anticipated stunning display of latest technologies, apps, mobile commerce, digital payments, cutting-edge software, etc from the nearly 50 exhibitors, notably; Zoobashop, Jumia, Interpay, MainOne Cable, Aramex, Link Afrika Consultants, BusinessGhana, Newsghana, Viotech, iVet, Yenko Taxi and many more. What’s more, exhibition visitors will stand a chance of winning free digital decoders and months of free viewing whiles enjoying free wifi throughout the duration of the event”, he added.
