Tech has come a long way in Ghana. From the times of the comm. centre to a 100%+ mobile phone penetration, it’s easy to forget how tech has grown over the past 20 or so years. Within this story lies the works of past companies, and the current ones who push the boundaries of the tech ecosystem, and bring along great products for both businesses and customers. The Ghana Information Technology and Telecom Awards was instituted to reward companies and individuals who have excelled in providing IT services to Ghanaians.

In its 7th year this year, GITTA “will recognize organizational performance, products and services, innovations, executives and management teams, women in ICT, and successful deployment of CSR initiatives.” In accepting nominations for the awards, the team considers “any industry, organisation or department at the core of using technology to promote or enhance their business growth. Key example is the IT department of an insurance or manufacturing firm.”

Earlier this year, they opened nominations for this years awards, and released a list of companies and individuals to be voted on. Last weekend, the GITTA 2017 was held at the Kempinski Hotel. Among many other exciting moments of the event itself, we chose to bring you only the award winners, since that’s what you’re here for.

For each category, we’ll list the nominees, and highlight the winner for that category. Hope your company won an award. That could be some reassurance for your work. Enjoy!
