Learn, Build and Win at the DevLess Hackathon, at MEST
Hackathons are part of developer culture all around the world. Being events that usually focus on building minimum viable versions of products, they have a way of testing your knowledge on certain technologies, and sometimes forcing you to learn new ones on the spot. And recently it looks like hackathons have become a part of Ghanaian dev culture.
Devless is a tech startup that provides developers with an open source framework that provides backend functionalities right out of the box and on demand. The team launched sometime last year, and they are organising a hackathon for developers to familiarise themselves with the DevLess framework.
Since DevLess wants developers to be familiar with the framework, hackathon participants will be given an intro into the nuances of the framework, and how to make the most of it. These sessions will be delivered by DevLess staff and developers. Also, some Teaching Fellows from the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology will help developers to test the validity of their ideas, something DevLess hopes will evolve into real products.
Prizes will be awarded to the best performing teams/developers, all to encourage the use of the framework for live projects. The event will be held form 1st — 2nd September at MEST. In the mean time, you can take a look a the Devless website and start something with their starter pack.
