Tisu Pivots and Renames to P Promos

Sometime in 2013, Ringier Ghana launched Tisu, a local listings website which featured daily deals, mostly for Accra and Tema-based customers. Since then, Tisu has become on of the top sites for e-commerce customers who want great products and services, but just want to pay a little less.

Over the past week, the team has announced some changes; Tisu is now P Promos. With Ringier already running the Pulse brand with the leading pulse.com.gh providing news on almost anything, it makes some sense that Tisu is now being pushed under Pulse. However, a visit to the redirected P Promos website does not show the previous Tisu interface or any related items. Instead, the page you’re redirected is more content-centered, as it features various ideas around getting the best on deals, electronics, holidaying, etc.

Also, a visit to the Tisu section on the Ringier Ghana website presents an “Access Denied” page.

In short, Tisu is no longer selling deals and making deliveries but they are likely to feature shops, and create an e-commerce feel for retailers to set up their own shops and feature their discounts. In the official communication, this is what they said.

In other Ringier-related news, the global company is now the publisher for the Business Insider Africa business site, and also seems to be making more moves towards e-commerce in general, on the continent. A little more search revealed that the same changes are being made in Nigeria too.

A new e-commerce classifieds platform coming up?
