I had to set up a new macbook today and after trying peer-to-peer and trying from scratch as well I decided I would use my TimeMachine backup instead and: works beautiful.

It was so easy I ended up quite impressed. I'm talking about 200GB of data transferred in one hour from my disk while I could keep working on my other machine and then when it finished it was like… magic.

Everything is there: my apps, my configs, my terminal as I like it, even homebrew and all the things I installed with it!

Well done, Apple.
