GhostMarket launches V2

GhostMarket has launched the Beta version of its upgraded platform, which CEO Vincent Geneste calls “V2”, which will become fully operational on August 6th, 2021.

When announcing the changes an excited Geneste said, “we are adding features that people will be familiar with that haven’t been seen in NFT sites, until now, or at least not very often”.

An extensive effort has been made when it comes to filters and ease of navigation, to find very quickly and easily the blockchain you’re looking for, a particular collection or more advanced filtering. This new design also has a number of new features that are staples of traditional websites, but are not common in the NFT space.

Back-End Upgrade

While the frontend design may look the same, it is in the backend where significant changes have been made, which will enhance the user experience. Two team members have worked full time for over two months to bring GhostMarket users a stack of new features that will increase usability and ease of buying, especially for those new to the NFT market.

While the first site was written in Vue/Javascript, the new one has been completely refactored and is now entirely in Vue/Typescript, making it way more scalable and polished, which has increased drastically the performance of the site, enabling the team to add an increasing number of blockchains as the months go by. Geneste says that they can now add a new blockchain literally in under an hour (at least for the frontend view).

Whitelabel Solution

The new streamlined, fully scalable and optimized version of GhostMarket will enable the team to continue expanding with the ‘custom’ branded whitelabel solution offered for customers willing to run easily an NFT sale and while eventually it is envisaged that a customer could do it by themselves, for now the team still needs to be involved in the process, based on the types of features needed.

Carts

All carts used in GhostMarket (buy cart / sell carts) have been revamped to look more traditional and to make them more polished, allowing users to bulk buy or sell any amount of NFT from any amount of connected wallets, in two clicks.

Open Offers

Building on existing open offers feature, new currencies payments have been added as available currencies to pick from when making an open offer (SWTH and CAKE for example), and any BEP20/ERC20 can now be added in 5 minutes.

Artist Verification & Social Features

While artist verification is still a manual process, the new website has been designed to introduce social features. Meaning very short-term people will be able to follow artists, like NFTs, and see at a glance all the activity related to people they’re following. On top of that, the capability to edit profile is being finalized and will be delivered in a very short term, allowing people to quickly and easily edit their profile banner / description / social links.
Meanwhile user avatars have already been added a bit everywhere on the marketplace, in an effort to make things more visually appealing.

Multi-Language

Within the next month, multiple language versions of GM will be available, opening up their NFT space to more artists and collectors from all over the World. A quick campaign will be started very soon for people to contribute to these translations, with rewards to be awarded.

Languages in addition to English include, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Italian, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Norwegian, Turkish and Dutch, so if you’re a native speaker of one of those, get in touch with the team (we are offering a paid incentive to help us out!).

Bug Bounty Competition

GhostMarket will be rewarding users who successfully detect bugs on the V2 site with $20.
